Shaping the World: A Conversation on the 75th anniversary of the Potsdam Conference
On July 28th 2020, we invited Prof. Fredrik Logevall from Harvard University and Prof. Michael Dreyer from the Friedrich-Schiller- Universität Jena for a conversation about the 75th anniversary of Potsdam Conference. The digital conversation was moderated by DAIS Executive Director, Eric Fraunholz and live-streamed via YouTube. Viewers were able to ask questions during the talk in our live-chat or via email.
The conversation between the two experts touched upon strategic motivations of each participant, the aftermath of the conference and the beginning of the Cold War, historical and political ramifications of the conference today, and how the conference is and should be remembered in Europe and in the US today.
