Michael Link and Nina Hachigian discuss the Importance of Subnational Diplomacy

On June 5, the ACG and the Association of German-American Centers (Verbund Deutsch-Amerikanischer Zentren, VDAZ) hosted a virtual discussion on the importance of subnational diplomacy with Ambassador Nina Hachigian (ret), Special Representative for City and State Diplomacy at the U.S. Department of State, and Michael Georg Link, Coordinator for Transatlantic Cooperation at the German Federal Foreign Ministry and Member of the German Bundestag (FDP).

The VDAZ is a network of non-profit transatlantic educational and cultural centers. The member institutions are open meeting places where exchange and understanding between the United States and Germany are promoted. The VDAZ unites the diverse activities of the institutions and networks German-American understanding work nationwide. DAIS is member of VDAZ’s founding board.
