Teacher Workshop about English Presentation Skills

On March 6th, DAIS EducationUSA Advisers Heather Pruessing and Erica Larson Bautze facilitated a teacher workshop for educators from the Chemnitz region, focusing on enhancing English presentation skills. Heather detailed the components of a typical American presentation, including how to craft introductions, state intentions, outline content, make transitions, deliver conclusions, and express gratitude. To ensure practical application, the participants were encouraged to create short impromptu presentations.

The workshop was met with great enthusiasm from the teachers, who expressed their intention to apply these methods in their teaching and share them with their students. It highlighted the diversity in presentation cultures, showing that there is much to learn from each other's approaches.
