Megan Shahi spricht über Wahlen und Disinformation

On July 3, we welcomed Megan Shahi, Director of Technology Policy at the Center for American Progress to Leipzig. Megan joined us via the U.S. Election Speaker Series, a collaboration between the US Embassy in Berlin, the Association of German-American Centers, and the Aspen Institute, to discuss upholding democracy in times of crisis, the influence of social media on elections, and the vital importance of transatlantic cooperation.

Megan Shahi joined us for a German-American student roundtable, explored our American Space Leipzig at Leipzig University, and engaged in a roundtable with local journalists from the RIAS commission on AI and social media’s place in reporting.
