How to Teach U.S. News: Teachers Workshops

On December 18, 2019, teachers and teacher-students took part in a workshop provided by our EducationUSA team. The goal of the workshop was to provide the teacher-students with material, information, and guidelines on how to teach U.S. news in the classroom.

We had an excellent group of teacher-students come together to discuss current events, particularly the political process of impeachment and the current proceedings. We looked at how teachers can incorporate these kinds of topics into their English lessons in order to expose their students to U.S. topics in a productive and critical way.

The teacher-students were very engaged in the topic and we had lots of meaningful discussions. It was also an opportunity for us to make educators aware of exchange opportunities to the U.S. and to give them information they can take with them into the classroom.

We are looking forward to more teacher trainings in 2020!
